Yesterday I totally forgot to update y'all on all my boys. :/ That is just my scatter brain since having the triplets. Lol.
So here goes. Last week I noticed a change in the babies when we finished all the liquid similac formula, and went to powder form instead of liquid pre-made. At the time I thought it was the formula, but didn't realize, until trial and error of two other formulas during the past week, that it was because we changed to a powder mixture. Long story short, babies are back in formula made for preemies, but in liquid form. Similac actually mailed me a lot of the kind we use for them in liquid form. Thank you Lord! It was quite the surprise to hear the doorbell ring and UPS dropping off three big boxes of formula. All for free. They have a multiples program and I had called, and signed up two days prior. The babies are doing great with the supplementing of Similac when needed.
As for how the babies are doing. They do pretty good considering they have some really bad reflux. Praying they outgrow it sooner than Beau did. Brant and Luke both choke all the time. This is just because the esophageal sphincter is not fully developed. This underdevelopment also is what cause reflux. So, praying it will finish developing quickly.
Wyatt loves to cuddle, and eat. :) He has definitely packed on some baby fat in the past couple of weeks. He has also started becoming more alert, and looks around at everything. He is a really good sleeper, when he doesn't have a belly ache. :( Being my singleton, it is easy for me to recognize him from a distance. :)
Brant is also a little cuddler, or he basically loves to be held. :) He also is packing on the baby fat. He is our fast eater, and I'm always having to pause a lot with him so he won't choke. He also is the baby that went home on monitor. He will have the apnea moments, where he will stop breathing, but then he recovers. not sure if its reflux induced or what yet. Going to call tomorrow to see if its necessary to have the monitor on him at all. He doesn't eat good when its on, or digest his food well either. :(
Luke, is our big ole boy. He loves his milk, and if you stop feeding him during a feeding he will tell you about it. He is well over 7 pounds for sure. He is so alert during the day, and loves to look around at everything. He also loves to be held, especially after he eats until he falls asleep.
Hoping I can weigh them today. Will post am update later on. They will be a month old Thursday. :)
Beau is doing great. He absolutely loves his brothers, and tells them everyday. He only has a few more weeks of school, then we are out for the summer. In August he starts big kid school. :/ Now that will be an emotional day for momma, for sure. He is excited about it though.
I better get. Have another feeding here in an hour and thirty.
In the pics is me and all my boys. The triplets wouldn't go to bed last night, so I just grabbed them all, and bam they all passed out once they all were beside each other, and cuddled up. :)
