Today I was so completely tired. Had a migraine headache all night last night so I think that is why I didn't get good rest when I did go to sleep. Anywho, I had my dear friend Alivia here today to help with the babies while I made phone calls to the doctors that the neonatologist wanted me to arrange.
Tomorrow is the big homecoming day, if all the babies do well during our parent run here at hospital. We will have babies in the hospital NICU room, but they make us do everything. Only time they would come in is if we had an emergency. So, praying that all goes well so we can hit the road, Jack. :)
This evening when I came back after the 5 o'clock feeding the lady at the front desk said, "Hi there dear, I put something on your end table that was delivered just a bit ago." Surprises, well I love them don't you know. :) So when I walked in I found this lovely flower arrangement, and a sweet card. It totally made my day, and gave me a big smile.
As for how this momma is doing. I feel a lot better. My swelling is just about completely gone. Yesterday I literally melted off water all day. I wasn't hot or anything, but literally drenched all day. Then today when I woke up I noticed my swelling was almost completely gone. Thank you Jesus! Just in time for my babies homecoming. I definitely couldn't have done it with the way my feet were every day.
As for the babies, they are doing really good. Eating well, growing, maintaining temperatures pretty good, and rarely having any Brady's or other issues. I think they are ready to be at home. :)
Anywho, I will update everyone tomorrow. If you want to visit in the upcoming weeks just text me or Rusty. The feeding schedule is 8 - 11 - 2- 5 and then repeat. We will fortunately have an amazing NICU nurse that i am friends with, with us two to three days a week. The other days I will have family, and friends helping me out with my huge new crew.
The doctors mentioned flu shots and Whooping Cough vaccines to us, and that it is suggested anyone around babies holding them to make sure they have had them.
*For women who are carrying multiples. I thought I would share a few things that might happen when pregnant with multiples. My skin started getting extremely dark the last few weeks of my pregnancy. Mostly my face. Sun spots showed up everywhere :/ or it looked like I had a face full of sun spots. Well the day after I had the babies, all this skin started peeling off, weird I know, but apparently the hormones going through your body in high amounts cause this. Also, don't panic on giant swelling once you have had the babies. This is normal for women pregnant with multiples. I was extremely worried about myself the first five days after having the boys, even though my doctor said it was normal. It just took time for my body to realize I had the babies, and quit creating blood for more than me. Anyway, just wanted to share.
