Now that they are officially four months old they got to try some rice cereal. Let me tell ya they loved it. Started off with Luke, and he just smiled the entire time, like what are you giving me...this is awesome! Lol. Then came Brant, boy this kiddo loved it, and didn't even spit any out. He was a champ at eating cereal. Finally was Wyatt. This sweet boy ate an entire serving. He love it too. He would start getting mad if I didn't give it to him fast enough. Lol. Over all I think it is a success. A big thumbs up to that folks. I plan on giving it just at breakfast/mid-morning time for about a week to see how they do with it, and make sure it doesn't bother their tummies. Then if it is all good I will add it to our evening routine. They will definitely bulk up eating this stuff too. It was so cute watching them get so excited about it.
Now on to my sweet Wyatt. This boy sure has my heart. He is a lover boy for sure. Just smiles a sweet smile, tilts his head a little, and then coo's. Prrrrecious! I'm not sure what he weighs today, but Friday night I weighed him, and he was 12 pounds 15 ounces. Woo hoo, almost a 13 pounder. Wyatt is totally into grabbing toys, and he gets so excited when he latches onto one. But, if he can't get it boy he will tell ya about it. He likes being in the activity bouncer. Once I finally put batteries in it for it to light up, and play music he was super excited. He also is chewing on his hands a lot, and drooling like crazy. Oh, and he is the best sleeper right now. Sleeping until about 7 to 8:30 am. The other night he slept 10.5 hours. Big thumbs up I know.
My precious little bear cub Brant. He is so calm natured. Never makes a fuss, and when he does want something he never cries loud like the other two. He is seriously a sweet baby boy. Friday night he weighed in at 12 pounds 8 ounces. Currently he is my little Rollie pollie. He will curl up in a ball and roll doing a 180 or sometimes even a 360. Lol. It's too cut. He so wants to roll all the way over, and is on the verge of it right now. He loves walker rides through the house, courtesy of big bro Beau. He always takes them on a tour of the house if they are cranky, and they love it. He also is drooling a lot, and chewing on hands. His sleeping is pretty good. He is usually the first one up around 5 to 5:30 for some milk, then straight back to sleep until 8:30 to 9.
My biggest little bear cub Luke. He is such a happy bright eyed boy. He seriously could win the Guinness (sp?) World Record smiling contest for babies. Sometimes he stops drinking his bottle cause he has to smile at me. I just love it. But, let me tell you this kid can cause a fuss on the bus in seconds. If you let him even barely start crying boy does he rattle the walls in this house. Lol. For some reason if he cries, they all cry. I'm thinking he must be tellin the other two he is the leading of the pack. Lol. Another cute thing he does is if one of his brothers, including Beau, gets upset boy he puckers that lip and stars crying too. It always makes me laugh, but say awe you pour thang at the same time too. Lol. The other thing he is doing right now is backside army crawling. I know, sounds weird, but this kid seriously wants to crawl, but backwards. I put him down on a quilt, and turn around to change another, then look at him and he is three feet from where he was. Lol. Little turkey is trying to escape. He also is drooling like crazy, chewing on hands, and grabbing toys. He also sleeps through night. Usually gets up about 6, back in bed after bottle, and then sleeps until about 9.
The basic routine we have is up around 8 to 9, change diapers, give Prilosec, let it settle, and then play for about an hour. Then now give rice cereal, plus bottle, then nap. Then go on with daily activities. In the evening it's all about trying to keep them happy happy. I start getting their pj's on around 8, and start giving bedtime bottle. They usually go to bed around 9. Sometimes the latest 10, depending on the day. Every other night is bath night. They all love bath time, and see who can splash mom, and Beau the most. They all still use the baby bath tub. Yesterday I also started brushing their gums. :/ A month late, but I did start. They loved it too. Chewed my finger, and didn't want to stop. Beau even helped.
Other stats:
Clothing size - just started 3-6 months
Bottles - 4 ounces every two to three hours. Sometimes it's more, and sometimes it's less.
Formula - Elecare ($45 a can) I know crazy. GI doc said we get to possibly change around 6 months.
Diapers - Size 2 and 20 to 30 per day. I haven't counted here lately so I'm not sure how much. It is in that range for sure though. woo wee I have lots of dirty diapers every day. Lol. They do ware a overnight diaper since they all sleep through night.
One thing they love is being outside. So I try and take them on a walk in their new stroller every other night. The new triple stroller is awesome. It's light weight, easy to maneuver, and comfortable for them. They just sit back, chew their hands, smile a little, and coo. Oh, and sometimes fall asleep. :)
All three now have an infant tooth brush.
Good mornin we are 4 months old. See Brant, he is a Rollie pollie.
Luke happy to be getting rice cereal.
Brant choking down. Photo courtesy of Beau. He deleted all of the clear ones. :/
Wyatt ready to eat.
Wyatt loving it.
Random...This palomino and bay are Beau's favorite. We seriously want to get a palomino. Every day when we go to Gram's we have to stop at the neighbors, and visit the horses. :) This was this last week.
Momma it's hot, and skeeters are coming out. They were not havin it.
