My big boy is off to Pre-K

Today is Beau's first day of Pre-K, and dropping him off this morning was bittersweet.  I am so excited for all the learning he will be doing, but sad he is growing up so fast. 

On the way to his school I was listening to him pray in the back seat, and he said, "God thank you for letting me start Pre-K, and thank you for the rain."  It was so sweet, and let me just say he usually never volunteers praying on his own.  But, he did in a quiet voice, and I just took a deep breath, and thanked God too for such a sweet boy.  I also thanked him for that moment.  I needed to have that as a mother, because I always wonder if what I try and teach him sticks.  As long as I am persistent, I know it will.  Anywho, it was a sweet, exciting, and fun morning for Beau, but I will admit it was for me too.  He was so excited for today, and excited on the way to school.  As an aspiring teacher this is exactly what we want, and I hope it stays this way.
