Yesterday, my best friend Amy came to visit. I have to admit, I've felt like I lost my right arm with not getting to see this gal as much as we use to. :( But, when we get the chance we try and catch up. We are like sisters. Anywho, gonna catch up next weekend on a Amy Tiff date. :) Woo hoo! Oh, and I can't forget how sweet her momma is. Mammy, that's her name to all of us, comes over and every time just starts doing stuff around the house. I never ask, nor do I expect her to, she just gives of herself selflessly. Makes me thankful for friends, and family like this.
As for today, thankful for Gram watching Beau while I took the babies to the doctor for their well baby checkup. Of course as I called on the way home, to see if he was ready for me to pick him up, he said, "no mom staying at Gram's." So thankful she doesn't mind having him, because that boy loves it out there, and loves Grammy.
Babies all happy before we left for the doctors office.
Anywho, on with the well baby checkup. Today's visit only lasted two hours, instead of the three like their two month visit. Whew, it wore me out. Thankfully, Russ was able to meet me there so I wouldn't be dealing with three screaming babies after shots. Let me just say, the babies have figured out that shots really hurt. :/ They did not like them at all. They each had four shots, and one liquid vaccination. The doctor did increase their Prilosec by 1 ml, but is quite impressed with how well they are doing. Growing really good, and increasing in statistical percentiles. One thing she did mention was to wait on feeding the rice cereal until they are intaking more milk. :( So, I guess I will hold off, and pray they can increase their ounces per feeding. Currently they drink 4 ounces at a time, but should be at about 6. So I plan on working on that with them. Here are their stats for today, at 4 months old. I asked how they figured the babies percentile ranking, and they told me it is a non corrected one. Basically basing this off of term babies, and other baby boys the same age. So, I think they are doing quite well considering they were all around 5 pounds at birth.
Compared to my first, it's a whole new ball game. He was in the 100% range up until age two.
Anywho, that's about it. Long day, but it all went pretty well. Expecting triplet moms, and new triplet moms, don't be scared. Things do become so much easier. You are super busy, but with multiples I think they tend to just be in sync with each other so it makes things easier. It is that way in my case, most of the time. Finally, I know I've said this before, but I'm thankful God is guiding me on this motherhood journey. It's a crazy busy one, but I love crazy business with kiddos. :)
Lots of bibs, and I feel like you could never have enough bibs. I use them with bottle feeding as well. I know most use burp cloths, but when I'm feeding two or three at once this is a must have.
Babies do not like cold milk, so I always grab the thermose with hot water in it to warm their bottles. :) Portable, and you don't have to race around or mess with asking for help.
I can not tell you how many of these I've drank in the last ten months, but I guarantee Boost has made a small fortune off of my purchases. Lol. I live off of these, and when you don't have time, which most of the time you don't, I grab one of these and down it. Chocolate is my fave, and the best. :)
Before, and after the four month well baby checkup. Happy mom before, and mom with a headache after. Ummm, yeap I had to get a Coke. :/ I actually ended up not caving for a straight Coca Cola, and got Coke Zero. High five, momma tried to not get a pop, but I sure did need it. Lol. I've been off pop for a while, so I sort of blew it today. But, you will have those days, and ya gotta give yourself something you like.
Just tuckered out momma. (Wyatt)
Luke, seriously is pooped from today. This is what the shots do to them. Make them lethargic. :/ Poor little babies.
