Thankful Thursday

Babies all in bed, laundry folded, formula made, dishes done, and I'm finally taking a breath.  It's just me and the sweet babies tonight, and it seems so weirdly quiet. Lol.  Anywho, reflecting on my day I am thankful for many things that happened.  I will just go ahead, and admit it now.  Yes, I caved and had two donuts, and they were oh so good.  Oh, and a medium coke. :/

The day started off with my OSAT.  This test is for my certification in early childhood education.  I decided to take it by computer based assessment instead of the old way, paper testing.  Way better option, and I felt at ease during the test because of that fact.  But, I will admit I was as nervous as a cat on a tin roof when I left that place.  Lol.  As soon as I sat down in my truck though I received a text from my brother.  It said, "we named her Hannah Sabrina."  Well that did it right there.  It made my day, actually my whole year.  Jess, my brother's sweet and dear wife, had their first baby girl last night.  Sabrina was my mother's name, and she went to be with Jesus when I was a toddler.  Wish she was here to see all her grand babies.  It truly brought tears of joy to me reading my brothers text, and at the perfect time.  So that brings me to around 11:30 this morning.  Then I grabbed some lunch for everyone before I headed home, and I arrived to some really happy babies.

This afternoon I needed to go visit one of my Gram's neighbors about the babies upcoming baby pics.  Plus, we wanted to go spend the rest of this gorgeous Oklahoma day out in the country.  On my way there I came up to the neighbors house, and although I love their place, it dawned on me to go to another neighbors place that I've always loved to do my runs at.  So, I went up to their ranch, and yeap, that's it.  I get these ideas, pictures, in my head that just stick until I find them.  Pictures are priceless.  So, I found the perfect spot.  To some it might just be a field.  To me its beauty.  So keep your eyes peeled for some cute triplets, and their big brother in some awesome photos from an awesome photographer.  That brings me to my friend Mary, professional photographer.  Since the weather outlook is horrible for the day I had planned, she rearranged her busy schedule on a beautiful day, and added the kiddos.  So thankful for her kind spirit, and for how she is always so understanding and patient.  My schedule is always nuts, but this gal has a big family too, she runs a business, and she squeezed us in.  So, very thankful for her.  She has captured so many memories of my sweet kiddos, and memories are priceless.

Once I made it to Gram's the babies got to playing right off the bat.  Lol.  They love playing, and figuring out the world right now.  I'm thankful for that as well, because it allows me time with Beau, and some time for me to do other things that need to be done.  Today, I ended up spending that time with Beau outside.  We played chase, tag, wrestled in the grass (oh that's fun for momma's) lol, and laughed more than we have in a while.  I needed this time with my sweet big boy, and he did too.  :)

As the sun set me and the babies headed back home, and I just wanted to write about our day.  Although my life seems so busy, today felt like just an ordinary day of motherhood.

One last thing, I'm thankful for some really awesome friends.  I received several texts while testing, no I didn't have my phone they confenakate that during test time lol, and the friends that text me made me laugh, smile, and just feel loved.  I'm blessed!

Ok, enough writing for me tonight.  I could write until the cows come home, but I will save the rest for another day.

10-4 over and out.

My babies always end up with some sort of toy on them.  Somehow...someway.  Lol.

Hey jack...donut overload.  Lol.

Too much fun with this new phone, and it's awesome camera.  :)
