BIG Day

Today was a big day for the triplets, Momma, and Daddy. They are all officially in one room together in one bed, and progressing quite well. They also moved us to the after delivery rooms, which are way nicer, and really really big.

As for all the news on the triplets here ya go. First, they are all on room air, and doing well with that. They still have just a little trouble regulating their own temperatures, but are getting better. Billirubins will all be checked again in the morning to see if jaundice is creating in. They are a little yellow, but that is expected with preemies. Starting off today they all were pretty lathargic, but we fed them really good all day today, and pumping in milk helps flush out jaundice. By this evening they all were already not as lethargic. So hopefully eating good has helped this. As for eating, they improve with each feeding. One thing the drs said today is that they already had time on their side. By this they mean, they were almost 36 weeks, and this is what was a helping factor to them and the amount of days they would need the NICU. Praise Jesus they are progressing well. So, if they keep improving, and do not have any obstacles come up they will probably go home with us in next few days.

As for me, my doctor wants me to start in here until Monday or Tuesday. Walking is quite hard for me, because the swelling in my legs. This brings me to what she said about the swelling today. Although mine is bad for a gal my size normally, it is normal for a gal that just had triplets. The final thought on this was it might take up to two weeks for it to go away, and I am praying that is not the case. I will have to have constant help until my legs are normal again so that is why I hope it subsides this week when we all hopefully get released.

The other thing that all the doctors wanted us to do before we leave this week is to get certified/recertified for infant CPR. We take the class together on Monday here at hospital. With three babies going home with us they said it is crucial to know all the emergency prevention techniques, and I couldn't agree more.

This evening the NICU asked us if we would like for their last night to be with us in our room to see how we do, and make sure they are really ready to be released. We said, "absolutely." So, the very lay night we are here we will all be in our room together. :/ Prayers prayers prayers. So glad it will be here though.

I know I'm forgetting something, but all in all today was really good. We are still not having visitors. We just want the best right now for all of us, and feel it is vital and important we do it as recommended to us. Things are going really well, and we thank The Lord all the time. It is all because of HIM. Anywho, we can't wait to show them off and share their precious names. Almost, have them all nailed down. Just one left, and we are really working on it. Hope to have it by tomorrow evening. :)
