Mothers Day

Mothers day was a rough one this year.  As you all know the babies have been sick.  Still keeping a close eye on their temps.

This morning as I lay in bed almost helpless, I couldn't even pick up the babies I was so weak.  My fever was so extreme I couldn't see.  I cried out to God to intervene into my families bodies for heeling.  I don't know how we all got sick at the same exact time, well the babies had been sick for a while.  But, me, Beau and Russ came down with fever at same time.  We were all so bad I knew we needed God's hand, and God sent me my friend Alivia.  She took me and Beau to the minor emergency clinic.  They first checked us for flu since my symptoms were so severe, but they came out negative thank The Lord.  But, they knew something more serious was going on with me so they took some blood work.  Found that I have a bacterial infection, white blood cell count is 14.3 (normal is under 10), heart rate was around 129, and my blood pressure wasn't good at all.  This all indicated something else is going on.  They took some X-rays as well.  They told had me contact my OB since I just had a C-section a month ago.  They were concerned about me having a pulmonary embolism.  The kind of infection I have can attack organs, usually the heart lining, liver, etc.  Hopefully it is not in the lining of my heart, that kind of infection is quite rare, but as I researched a little last night it wouldn't be surprising with allthe  symptoms I had and have.

Long story short Beau and I went home on medicine.  Rusty is going this morning, hopefully, to get some as well.  Also, my oncall OB (who just so happen to assist Dr. H in my c-section) called back and discussed concerns I should look for.  So far, 24 hours later, I am doing a little better.  I have had a full days  worth of antibiotics, and taking strong IB, and it seems to be helping.  I can tell when the IB wears off, because my headache starts to come back, and my fever too.

Hoping and praying for healing for my entire family.  This is so weird for all of us to be sick, and then for me to also be sick with the viral infection plus a bacterial infection.

On a good note, we finally found a formula supplement for the babies that is working, Enfamil Gentlease.  I am going to have to call them and sign up for the multiples program like I did with Similac, because this stuff is getting expensive.

As for the babies, they are eating, thankfully.  But, they do all have different low grade temps and a lot of mucus.  I almost feel like this is a bug that is new.  They have been this way over a week, and almost two weeks.

Anywho, looking forward to some sunshine this week, and healing amongst all of us. Please keep us in your prayers.  I am very thankful, and grateful for you all.

Also, thank you to all my friends that texted me yesterday wishing me Happy Mothers Day.  I did see them, once I could see, and they all made my day.  I got a little backed up on all my text yesterday.  :) Happy Mothers Day to all of you sweet ladies too.
