Dandelion Root...

Yesterday I wrote about my current issues, itchy hands and feet. I know this sounds like a problem a child would have, and it does seem so strange, but pregnancy can do some weird things to the body. Anyways, I called and spoke my OB's RN yesterday, and she got back with me yesterday afternoon and said Dr. H wanted to do some blood work on me and she put a STAT order on it. So, this morning I will be getting my blood work done as soon as they open.

In the meantime, while waiting for them to concur what the plan was going to be my sweet friend Jenn called me. Come to find out she had Cholestasis with one of her pregnancies. Long story short, she ended up trying an herb in pill form called dandelion root. So, I was desperate for relief and sent Russ to Dodson's to get the pills. I did do a little research on this herb to make sure it was safe, and my findings were not real clear on taking it while pregnant. Mainly cause it is not FDA approved. :/ Well I took it anyway during the day yesterday. What this herb does is clean out your gallbladder and liver, like a detox. Once I got to reading more about it on multiples websites I realized I shouldn't chance it by taking it. So, until I talk to Dr. H about it I will hold off. So glad I have sweet friends who share their own stories to try and help others who are desperate in their own situations. So thank you Jenn, you are such a blessing! :)

The other thing I should probably mention is my high risk dr office called during all this yesterday. I should say even though I was home all day yesterday it was dang sure a busy day. Anywho, I got to talking to them about it and they got their RN on the phone and she said they normally do not treat cholestasis with the medication that is out there, because it can cause more harm than good. :/ They just monitor daily, and when it came time to take babies they would. So, basically I am getting the feeling this will just add to the close eyes of monitoring on me, as maybe more blood work until babies are born.

On a good note my itching did not start until around 7 last night, and was not near as bad as it had been. Now I do not know if this was because I took the dandelion root all day yesterday, or because of prayer. Definitely believe the later part is part of it for sure. Last night I actually got some sleep. Praise The Lord! I need sleep now, cause I know I will not be getting any in a few weeks to a month from now, and for a while.

The other people that I was able to speak to yesterday was the lactation department at the hospital that I am having the babies at. Since I did breast feed my first child with no problem, and I always had plenty, they said that more than likely I will do great with the triplets. Praying for this big time. We also discussed my delivery plan and expectations, and I feel fully confident in this group being able to help me succeed in this. :)

Finally, my day ended with two of my sweet friends, Stacy and Aleisha, stopping by to visit and bring dinner. I do not see them near enough so it was a nice surprise. :) And thank y'all for dinner too. It was perfect!

Until tomorrow or later today, when I get some results.

And I have to say this, ALMOST 34 weeks. :)

Blessings!

Cholastasis...

After more than a week of this extreme itching of my hands and feet, the itching has started to spread. I did mention this to Dr. S on Monday, who is a partner of my OB. My OB is out of town, so is my high risk, :/ but it has got to the point where we know this is not normal. At my NST yesterday my triage nurse asked several questions, and indicated that if it is worse, which she thought that is was, than I should get a Fractionated Bile Acid Test. Well after discussing this with her, and realizing the only symptom that I do not have is pains in the upper right quarter section of my abdomen, I know that I need to go in today and get tested. I also learned that I am in the top category of women who get this during pregnancy. Women of Swedish and Chilean decent, and women carrying multiples. Geeze I am both Swedish and carrying multiples. Anyway, I was up most of night because of this severe itching. I started researching some more and this is something I should not take lightly, so I am going to insist on being tested today if they do not recommend it when I call in. A simple blood test is no biggie to me since I have been poked all the time for the past several months. Even if it is increased hormones, which is what Dr. S thought, that is how cholastasis starts, and from everything that I learned it increasingly and rapidly gets worse.

One thing my OB Dr. H is always reminding me of is that I should always listen to my instincts. Especially since this is a high risk pregnancy. Thank goodness she will be back in town this evening.

Please say some prayers for me and the babies. Please and thank you.

For the pregnant women reading this, who might have the same concerns, here are two creditable websites that I found information on.

OB apt & a little this and that :)

Today I had my usual weekly OB check, but with my regular OB's partner Dr. S. The babies all sounded great, and are showing more and more diaphragm movement. We did discuss a couple of other things. One Dr. S had to send in more labs to make sure my UTI is completely gone since today's sample did show traces of concern. I can't remember what she said, but hopefully all is well. On another note for the past week I have been having severe itching on my feet and hands. No rash or swelling, just itching really really bad. At first I was thinking it was my circulation, but then over the weekend I started to get a little concerned cause it is constant, so I went to the internet. :/ I know, I shouldn't try and self diagnose myself, but the internet makes things soooooo easy. So what I found was that my symptoms could me a sign of Cholastasis. This has to do with how your small ducts in your liver works during pregnancy. When it is not working properly it sends salt bile deposits throughout your body and causes severe itching. Anywho, Dr. S said that if mine persisted and got to the point of where my entire body was bad and I started to get a rash then they would test me, and then proceed with a c-section. But, she said it is not to a point of concern at this time where she thinks I have that. Whew - I feel a little relieved on that, but not relieved on the itching. Ice packs and cooler showers help, but other than that I will just endure it. Still no weight gain at all. I thought I maybe would have gained a couple of pounds since I feel a little better, but I didn't. Other than all that I am doing pretty good, and am continuing to rest. Three more weeks. It doesn't sound like that much, but I feel like it will go by so slowly. It would be cool if I could go to 37, but I think I would really have to beg my doctors on that one. :)

On another note Beau got to go with his Daddy to the circus last night, and some of the family as well. He had a great time, and was completely passed out by the time they got home. I was so glad they got to go do something fun together. Especially, since we have been constantly busy with doctor this, and monitor that. Ahhhhhh! Anywho, glad they had fun, and thank you to Papaw for getting tickets for everyone.

Then today he got to go to one of his buddies birthday party at a place in Mustang. I will hear all about this once he gets home here in a bit. :)

Happy Monday Ya'll!

THIRTY THREE Weeks

Today I am reminded why I am so blessed, because here I sit getting to write about my new week in this miraculous pregnancy. Today I am now 33 weeks pregnant with the triplets.

Thinking back on all the things that I have went through during this pregnancy, which compared to other women with triplet pregnancies, it really is not much. But, when visiting my high risk doctor in the early months I became scared to death of what could possibly go wrong. Especially with the type of triplets that i have. They tell you all the possibilities so you can not only prepare, but also for you to try and be as careful as possible. I understood all that for sure, but I never even had one clue that God would be so merciful to me. Why?! I do not even feel worthy of all HIS blessings, and yet HE still keeps blessing me. I have felt this way my whole life, about being blessed. It is something I wish I could explain in concrete terms, but if you just have faith and trust in HIM you will or already know what I am talking about. Anywho, just very thankful for each passing day for these babies to develop more before they are born.

In all honesty when I found out I was pregnant, it was quite the shock for me, just was not ready to add to our family for a while. I was finishing up my second degree in Early Childhood Education, and Beau was just to the age of having lots of fun. But, what was even more of a shock was the day I found out i was preggo twins, then three weeks later triplets. I mean wow. As you all know I absolutely love kiddos, and have always wanted a handful. Just not all at once. At first I was unhappy, stressed, worried, overwhelmed, and the list could go on. But, with prayer and renewed faith in HIS plan I know HE knows I can handle this, and that I will love these babies just as much as I love my first son.

Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart for the continued prayers. If I could hug each of you right now I would. Love you all!

Have a blessed Sunday!

March 15th :)

Started off this beautiful spring day waiting in Dr. M's office. They had to take in three emergency patients today...what??!! Yes, I know, but since I had to do my NST at the apt too they called me back within 5 minutes. Woo hoo! Anywho, passed the NST with no flags. :) Then we moved on to the bio ultrasound. Diaphragm movement was great today for all babies. They are all head down :/ but everything looks great so we are all hopeful that I can get to 36. The way Dr. M made it sound today is that when I do get to 36 they would have to take them no matter what. So, what this told me is he thinks I will. :) No measurements today, because they do measurements every two weeks. The stats on the babies growth would be off if they did it every week.

Since all is well, Beau is with Gram, and I am feeling much better today, Russ is going to take me to lunch somewhere. Today I am 32 weeks 5 days and turned 32 years old. Couldn't be more thankful for this gift of grace and mercy upon my pregnancy from the Lord.

Some of the pics that I have included are some of my fave things. Y'all should know C.A.N.D.Y. is always on my top five list. :)

1st pic is of my fave salt water taffy...Yummo!!!

2nd pic is of a new drink my mother in law got me started on. I love juice, and this one is all natural juice smoothie. Basically juice purée like what you would get from a juicer. This flavor is yummmmmie!

3rd pic is of my sweet little turkey with his new duck call. Ever since his Uncle Russ got one for Ryder Cash (Carrigan & Brits upcoming arrival) he has been begging for one. :) Ummm he won't put it down.

4th pic is of what Dr. M's associates have me today. Six, 6 count boxes of formula bottles. Just in case, well I probably will have to supplement a little. Thank you Jesus! They said I could get these every time I come in until they are gone. Woo hoo!!!

The VEHICLE...

In preparing for the triplets arrival Rusty and I have had so many different things that we have to either buy, change, or evaluate on accommodating our new arrivals. Given that I am having three little babies at once you can imagine most would think I need a bus, or a big giant caravan. LOL. Well, I do drive a very nice, PAID for, SUV that I love to drive. :( It was Toby Keith's for 195 miles before it was mine. Honestly, I do not even want to trade it in or sale it, but after trying out the carseats, all 3 of them including Beau's big boy car seat, plus breaking down the stroller completely we realize I need a longer SUV. We got all this in my ride, but that doesn't even include backpack, bags, and everything else. So I started researching triplet blogs with other siblings, and all point to Chevy Suburban or Ford Expedition EL. My current SUV is the regular Expedition, which I love, and in fact we are FORD fans for sure. Now, the search has begun and we are still discussing on what to do. We do not want a car payment given we will be paying for plenty with three babies already. So for now we are trying to figure out if we should sale the current SUV or trade it in. That is the question. If any of you know of a Expedition EL in great condition please forward info to us. Once we decide if we will sale the current SUV I will let everyone know, to help spread the word. It is clean, excellent condition, and just had new struts and breaks put on last week. Oh, and did I mention TOBY KEITH drove it for a couple of weeks. :)

32 weeks 2 days NST & OB Apt

The past five days, well week, I feel like I have been on a roller coaster. One day I feel absolutely horrible, then the next day I feel a little better, then yesterday I started off good, but started feeling horrible in the afternoon. Felt feverish, couldn't get enough water at all throughout the day, and had a few contractions.

Anyway, started off the day with one of my weekly NST's. Gram took me to the NST, and my triage nurse who is usually running the triage is out on vaca this week. So, they had to have two nurses to run the triage this week just for her position, that's how good she is. I get there today, and my room (the multiples room) was closed. This never happens when Vicki is here, because she is organized and knows you never put a singleton pregnancy in the multiples room. Especially when the two singleton rooms are completely open and clean. So I waited thirty minutes, actually 45, an then decided to just forego the apt today. I thought when I see Dr. H in a couple hours I will explain to her why I didn't get it, and if she wants it done then we will figure something else out.

Then we went on to my OB appointment with Dr. H. I know I have said this before, but I love Dr. H so much. She truly is a blessing to have as my OB doctor. First, she said it was ok that I didn't have my NST today. She did an ultrasound and miraculously the babies have shifted up quite a bit. Probably due to me being off my feet and resting more. So that is good. The two placentas looked great, fluid around babies looked great, haven't gained weight this week, and she feels like I'm doing considerable well. Thankfully we caught my UTI in time. One more day of antibiotics, thank goodness cause they are killing my head and stomach. As for my weight and why I haven't gained, that is mainly because I'm at the point where my body is just full, and the babies are now taking from me. This is ok, as long as I drink nourishing drinks and eat snacks here and there. I did ask not to have my cervix checked, and she was completely good with that considering I just don't feel well today. Plus I don't want to have contractions tonight or stir anything up. She said it really wasn't necessary unless I had symptoms that would call for it, which I really do not. Anywho, she feels all is well and once I finish this antibiotic I will feel a little better.

I see high risk doctor on Friday and will have a NST in their office. So hopefully I can keep hanging on. Pretty sure I can,. Just need sleep and rest.

32 weeks

On this last Friday I couldn't even see myself and how I would be today. Mainly, because I felt so bad, and thought I was going into labor with the triplets. After two and a half days of antibiotics for the UTI I am starting to feel better. Today was much better than yesterday. I could actually get up and walk around. Thank you Jesus!

Today I also had two of my sweet sweet friends visit me, and that made my day. I never get to see anyone, but doctors it seems here the past month. So spending the day with friends here really cheered me up. First, my dear friend Crystal came over with all kinds of goodies, and so super cute outfits for the babies. Then we finally got to catch up with each other. Just don't have enough time, but glad we did today. :) Love her to pieces! Then an hour after Crystal left my sweet friend Amy showed up and we got to catch up too. :) Love her too and never get to see her enough. Anywho, thank you ladies for coming to see me. Love y'all bunches!

As for how I am. Like I said I do feel like the UTI could be getting better. I feel a lot better today, but still have some symptoms. :/ So praying they disappear soon. I have been drinking some cranberry juice that my mother in law brought over last night, and I think that always helps. My Gram always made me drink that every time I got a kidney infection or something similar when I was a child. Good ole remedies. :)

So here I am at 32 weeks and really I have no clue as to how far I will make it. I am holding on to my prayers for God to hold me strong to 36 weeks. I believe it can happen, but as a believer I have to trust God's plan.

The other prayer that I have is for my family, and for Rusty. This is seriously like a military operation, and it hasn't even begun yet. Lol. He is the sole provider for our family with a demanding job that he does extremely well with and works really hard. He is my husband, already a father to our first, and the upcoming triplets. Oh, and takes care of everything around here (including me) all the time now. So, if you will add him to your prayers. :) He is a strong man, but this is a lot on his plate in my eyes, and big changes. It is for me too - so go ahead and pray for this for me too. :) Please and thank you for sure!

That is about it for now. Thirty-two weeks going strong, and holding on. :/ OB check and NST on Tuesday, and then NST and high risk appointment on Friday.

In the first pic is of me today. I didn't gain any this last week, probably cause I really wasn't feeling well. Then the second pic is of me and my sweet friend Amy. :) Missed getting one of me and Crystal. :(

And we are finally home

Toes up, and finally home at 4:45.  Woo wee it was a long long day, but finally know why I have had contrant pressure, and not to mention I could barely walk this morning.  The last update gave some of the details of the high risk appointment today.  Babies are all doing well.  Momma on the other hand has a UTI :/ and that is not good for my situation, but started antibiotics already and hoping tomorrow I feel much better.

One thing I didn't discuss in the earlier post today is that Dr. M wanted to start steroid injections for the babies lungs.  This steroid helps early babies lungs progress in development.  It last about a week, so in another week I will get one more.  If I still have not had them by 34 (Praying I haven't) then they said it really isn't necessary to take them anymore.  He said he thought I was still doing really well, and that I could probably make it to 34 weeks.  Possibly 35, but not sure 36.  He said if I did just so happen to make it to 36, he would consult with Dr. H and determine what to do.  So, I am still holding on to my Faith in the Lord's plan.  I believe these babies want to cuddle a little longer in momma's belly. :)  Even though I am constantly uncomfortable, I don't care, I will do whatever it takes to help them develop more.

Dr. H was basically saying the same as Dr. M today.  They both think I could make it to 34 weeks, but just not sure now on 36.  Given my size, and all this weight baring down on my cervix it is so difficult to hold them in.  But, like I said to them, I am going to try my hardest.  All things are possible with GOD beside me!

My sweet Uncle Chris and Aunt Renee have helped me figure out a calendar system to link or embed on the blog.  Hoping to get that up and running over the weekend.  :)

Again, thank you for the prayers.  No pics of the babies today - I got the not so fun sonographer :/  But, she did do a better job today.

The pic here is me on the way to dr at 6:45 a.m. this morning.  Well, it is of my basketball belly.  :)

Woo Wee what a day, and its still going.

First, my day started off with me barely able to walk this morning while getting ready for my high risk apt at 7:30 am. :/ I felt and still feel like Baby A is about to fall out. :/ plus a lot of pressure that will not go away.

I need to be brief since they are fixing to do a full check on me here at Baptist. But, at high risk appointment we found that all the babies are good. Diaphragm movement is good. Baby A is head down while other two babies heads are on right side of stomach. Baby A is 3 lbs 12 oz, Baby B is 3 lbs 14 oz, and Baby C is 3 lbs 10 oz.

Then we went one floor up and Beau had his 4 year check up, and all is good. He got three shots, which was not fun, but did very well. Talked with doctor on a few things with the babies, and got some things squared away.

Then we headed over to OB office for me to get progesterone shot, along with a steroid shot for the babies lungs in case I go into labor. The steroid shot last about a week, and just helps in moving along king development. But, they put off giving any shots, and sent me on over to Baptist since I can hardly walk.

So, currently getting checked and monitored, and I will post update once we know plan. Dr. H is thinking hospital bed rest.

Long 24 hours

I thought I better get on here and update everyone. All is fine, but I had a really rough night with reflux, which caused choking and coughing even when sitting up all night. :( I am on a reflux med, but I ate something that I haven't ate this entire pregnancy. I thought I would be fine eating it since I ate around 4:45, and that would allow it to start digesting before bed. Well even though I used procaution by eating early, as I normally do, I had the worse night with reflux ever. Then we also started thinking that the food might have been bad cause my entire abdomen was in pain, which has never happened. So, this morning I called Dr. H and she had me come in to get monitored, and we determined it was the food. :( I had a couple of contractions, but not ones that were worrisome. As long as I am laying or sitting down, which I did all day, I don't have any. But, as soon as I stand up to go to the restroom or get water I have one. So I must be really cautious. It is to the point where movement can put me into labor :/ Today was just not a relaxing day cause my entire abdomen hurts so bad, but hopefully by tomorrow it will have subsided.

Tomorrow I have my high risk appointment, and I am so ready to see the babies growth. Hoping for 4 pounders.

Right now I am praying for rest, and for my body to start feeling better.

31 weeks 2 days

Today I woke up thinking when is the mom of triplets plus a 4 year old going to hit me? I sometimes walk around in a daze after thinking about it too long, because it just seems crazy. I mean really, is this real?!

Well, a little bit of this hit me about thirty minutes ago when Dr. H checked my cervix and all that. She found that I am 50% effaced, and when she said it I suddenly had a huge lump in my throat. Got teary eyed. Her words were, "The time is getting closer, and anything can happen at any moment." She said she was not worried at all, but that I really really need to be strict with bed rest, and always have another person with me, especially when I have Beau. So, reality is starting to sink in. My mind keeps running back to Beau right now. That little turkey means so much to me, and you all know he is a momma's boy. I just know he is going to miss me playing with him even more now during this time, and the times I will just not be able to do what he wants. So, I'm going to pray about that, because it is bothering me. Anywho, back to the check up. Dr. H did say that I am not dilated yet so that is good. She just reiterated several times to not do anything if I want to make longer. I can say I am just going to rest. I'm totally not ready for all this yet.

Gram is taking me to my NST now. Please keep me in your prayers. I am very thankful and grateful for every one of them.

31 weeks

So yesterday those of you who might have read my blog, were probably thinking Tiffany really had preggo brain. I had put 29 weeks 6 days and I really was 30 weeks 6 days. Lol. Oops. Anywho, today I am 31 weeks with the triplets.

Feeling a lot better than I did a few days ago. Probably because I slept in our old bed in the guest room the last two nights. My back was hurting so bad I couldn't get comfortable all day long no matter what I did. Thank goodness we bought the one year exchange warranty on the new bed, because I now know with my back that pure memory foam will not work. I have to have a little bit of firmness. So when we get time we are going to exchange it for the other regular bed that we liked. I should have done some research on the orthopedic websites before we bought the bed, but didn't think of that. This last week I started doing a little research and found out that memory foam beds are not ideal for people who have broke their back, or ruptured their disc. :/ Anywho, we will get it all squared away. I highly recommend purchasing the $99 1 year exchange warranty....sooooo worth it.

On another note, I have a NST and doctor appointment with Dr. H on Tuesday, and then on Friday I have another NST and high risk appointment with Dr. M. Beau also has his 4 year well check with his pediatrician on Friday as well. Good thing is his pediatrician is one floor up from the high risk doctor. I might not be able to go with them to that, but it is nice cause its all convenient.

Just thought I would share this...In one month we will be enrolling Beau in Pre-Kindergarten. I can't believe how time has flown by. He is growing up way too fast.

Okie dokie - y'all have an awesome Sunday, and as always thank you thank you for your continued prayers.

30 weeks 6 days and counting

Very anxious to add another digit in the count down for these babies. Here is a couple of pics for today. :)

Bought this non maternity long skirt and love it. Why didn't I think of this sooner?! It's so comfy for my growing belly. This whole pregnancy I have not liked any pants, or anything that would go over my belly. Just hurt and made my breathing worse. So this new find is my probably going to be my new fave. :)

Carter's by OshKosh

One story I want to share with y'all is about the Carter's baby company, by OshKosh. This is truly my favorite clothing for babies and toddlers, and always has been. Great cloths that wash well, last a long time, reasonable price, and super cutie patootie. Well a while back I had to get Beau some new cloths, since he is continuously growing like a weed, and I bought his stuff at the Carter's store. I received $60 Carter's bucks, and the nice thing is you can spend these with out making a purchase. Just like a gift certificate. Only bad thing is you have to go in the store. :( So I was so bummed about loosing that money that I earned from buying Beau's cloths that I ended up calling the customer service number to see if they could extend it for me. That way I could use it on the babies like I was wanting. Well guess what? They did something that really surprised me and even better. They said they would trade the in store certificate for a gift card I could use in store or online. Wow! I was so excited I couldn't even believe it. The representative that I dealt with was so extremely nice and understanding. I think she knew how much I love their company. So, buy Carter's friends and family. They are an awesome company and I have told this to people before this. Given my situation and how much expenses are and will be going out because of the triplets I am truly thankful they did this for me. This is Tiffany Daily and I approve this message. :) LOL...had to say that. Would love to go into politics, but better hold off on that thought for a little while. ;)

NST today and no high risk appointment

Today started off the same as yesterday. The good ole back was just putting up a fight for me. So I had to get up earlier than I wanted, and walk around to loosen it up. I just can't stay in any position too long, or else I will regret it. Anywho, I rested for a little while before I had to go in for my second NST for the week, and started feeling a little better.

The NST went great. With the babies all staying in the same positions now it is much easier to track them. :) On another good note, during the hour and thirty minutes I was monitored, I didn't have any contractions. I've noticed that I usually have contractions in the mid morning time from 9:30 to around noon. Probably cause I have to get up for a while cause of my back. Then I usually do not have any more for the rest of the day. Occasionally I will, but for the most part I do not.

As for the high risk apt I was suppose to have, well I cancelled it. I knew yesterday that I just didn't want another long day, and Dr. M had said that I could wait two weeks to see him this time since I was not dilated or effaced. So, I called yesterday and cancelled it. Dr. M also gets direct tracking of my NST's while they are in progress, so if he was concerned or my NST triage nurse was concerned I would have went on over to see him. But, all is good. All the babies were good, along with me.

I am not sure if I mentioned it in an earlier update or not, but I finally had to start taking Prevacid. :( I was choking every night so bad that it would have harmed the babies if I didn't start the medicine. Even with watching the types of foods I eat and when I quit eating in the evening, I still would have bad reflux. So the Prevacid has helped tremendously, I still can tell I am having Gerd at times, but at least it doesn't burn.

While I was in my NST my Dad called and told me about a lady that he works with, that was pregnant with triplets. She was thirty weeks along, went into labor this week, and had her triplets. So I feel really fortunate that I am still progressing with the babies. Then there is one other preggo lady with triplets that comes in for NST's when I do at the hospital. She is almost 34 weeks and still a truckin. This gives me good hope, along with God reminding me, that I can get to 36+ weeks.

This Sunday I will be 31 weeks. Hoping for a restful weekend.

A little emotional

Today I woke up after a rough night of back pain, which is a little unusual for me since I learned to tolerate my back pain a long time ago.  As I got up several time through the night, as I usually do for potty breaks, I would get emotional and think I just don't know if I am going to make it another 5-1/2 weeks.  I mean everyday something new arises or I become more aware of my changing body and what it is doing.  The back pain just started a few days ago, but last night it was at its all time high on the pain scale.  No, I will not take any medication for this, because I just don't want to deal with that.  I am praying that no damage will be reopened, because of my watermelon in front that I am carrying.  Over the years I really did good in getting my back in good shape, doing what my ortho doctor wanted me to do.  At this point though, given I am preggo with triplets, I know I can not do a thing to help my situation...that is until the babies are born.  Anywho, I had that to deal with through the night, and then my emotional thoughts about how I didn't know if I could make it another 5-1/2 weeks.  Oh, and then there is my breathing.  Woo wee it is a struggle with baby C pushing my lungs up in the my chest cavity.  I wonder what it would look like and how squashed they would look right now on a MRI or X-Ray.

Anywho, the last time that I got up in the night I just was crying and thought Lord I just don't know.  Then I felt God speak to me and say, "You can do it with ME.  All things are possible with ME by your side."  So I then went back to bed, and just thanked God for everything.  I have so much to be thankful for right now, and actually do all the time.  Even during hard times in my life I have.  But, right now I am thankful for help, God's mercy and Grace, and all the prayers going up for me and the babies.  It is so so much to even think about, and I am even tearing up right now writing this.  But, I am truly thankful for everyone that is touching my life.  This week my Grandmother has helped me and Rusty out so much.  Although, she doesn't think it is that much, it really is.  She has done dishes, laundry, cooked us dinner the past three nights, takes Beau to school, and it really means a lot.  As some of you know she retired from Chesapeake just a couple of weeks ago.  With that said, I prayed about her coming over to help, because she just retired and has a lot that she still is doing, and needs to take care of.  Thankfully, God has provisioned her time to take care of her things that she needs to do, and come over here too.  As I watched her take Beau off to school this morning I just thanked God for blessing me with her.  Right now is a time that most women in my situation have their mother right beside them.  So at times I feel my mothers presence with my Gram beside me.  WOMEN you know what I mean about this.  Daughters just need their mothers, Grams, during times like these.

Although I have been emotional this morning I am THANKFUL on this THURSDAY!

*Sidenote - I have to add that I am thankful for Rusty too, which is a given. :)  He works so so hard, and I am thankful that God has blessed him with such great knowledge for what he does, for taking care of me when he gets home, and as a father to our little precious boy Beau.

Today's NST and OB apt

Well today's preggo activities totally wore me out.  First, I went in at Baptist for one of my NST's for this week.  All babies are doing great, and during the hour long monitoring I had one contraction.  I knew the contraction was coming and was thinking, "of all times for me to have a contraction."  I was thinking this, because mine are so far apart they really shouldn't count.  But, anywho it was charted.  All in all the NST went well.  Just within the past week they have noticed that the babies are totally snug in my tight belly.  They have no room to move around much anymore.

We then went to pick up Beau early and grab some lunch before my doctor apt.  One reason I wanted to pick him up early is, because he has not got to go with me to a doctor apt in a while and he loves to see the babies.  The other reason is, because we had to.  My doctor apt was thirty minutes before he would be getting out of school, so that would not have worked.  Anywho, Dr. H was really happy that I am still doing pretty good.  She did say that she really can see me going to 36 weeks like this. :)  One thing she reiterated was not to be doing a lot of bending and stuff like that.  So dish washer and laundry is on the back burner for me for a while. :/ This is definitely hard, especially with how I like to keep my home. LOL.  Oh well, gotta let these little bear cubs grow some more. :)  I asked her when she suspects I will or if I will go into the hospital for bed rest before the 36 week mark, and she said that if I stay consistent that I could be at home up until it is time.  So we are still going from dr check to dr check.  This way really makes me happy to be honest, because I feel like the babies will come on God's watch, and not mans.  :)

Here is a pic of me at the NST just to give you all an idea that have no idea what I am talking about.  There are three fetal heart rate monitors, and one for me to monitor uterine contractions.

30 weeks...

Today feels like such a monumental day for me. I mean yesterday I continuously thought about today, and the #30, all day long and what it might bring. In the beginning of this unexpected journey in my life I was consumed with being overwhelmed and in shock. Then by the Grace of God, I became at peace with becoming a mother to three more children in less than 9 months. Doctor visit after doctor visit I became more amazed at how much mercy and grace God was pouring over me, by surpassing so many odds against me. I can't ever describe how truly grateful I am for such an awesome Savior. I am completely unworthy and have no idea why HE chose me, but feel blessed that HE has carried me with a steady hand thus far. Sometimes I just sit and get so emotional thinking about it all, and comparing my pregnancy to all the others I read and hear about. Then somehow I get worried and scared. I have strong FAITH that God will hold me until HIS perfect timing for the babies to arrive, and I trust in HIM that everything will be ok. I have to admit my anxiety has been slowly creeping back up, and fear will creep in. But, usually I rebuke that and realize my higher power is in control. One thing I learned early and would suggest to any woman expecting multiples is that it is ok to research accredited websites, but do not get caught up in reading stories or blogs of woman with the same type of multiples as you. Scientifically speaking on type of multiples. This will only consume you and make you worry, when you should really be researching how to take good care of yourself during this huge arrival and pregnancy. I wish I could share every experience throughout my pregnancy, but it would take all day. I do hope that the parts I have shared will renew hope to anyone in any situation to just trust in The Lord with all your heart even when you can't see how some things are even possible.

Here is to me turning 30 weeks.

Blessings!

High Risk Apt @ 29 weeks 5 days

Today I had my high risk apt with Dr. M.  I have a lot to share, surprise surprise :)

As I was called back for my high risk apt I was so excited, because I got one of the really good sonographers.  Yeap!  Anywho, all the babies are looking really good.  Today, they all showed good diaphragm movement, which shows that their lungs are developing. :)  I am still gaining weight on an average of 1 to 2 pounds per 8 days, so that is good.  One thing that is good on my weight gain is that the babies are taking it all.  :)  Baby A weighed in at 3.1 pounds, Baby B 3.5 pounds, and Baby C 2.14 pounds.  Hopefully by next week they will all be 3 to 4 pounders.  On a little turkey note...Baby B must be the line backer of this bunch since he is taking in the most weight.  Oh, and he still is practicing all his football skills on my belly...ouch.  My blood pressure is great.  As for my cervix Dr. M had to double check it since Baby A is smooshing it, but all was well.  All the babies have stayed in the same position for the past month, and this confirms they just do not have any more room to do flips or somersaults any more.  So, Baby B will just keep kicking me instead.  Dr. M said he just wants me to sit back and not do a thing, especially since I told him I was going to 36 weeks. :)  He did say today that he thinks I can do it if I just do strict bed rest.  This means I will have to have someone here with me when Beau is home, and we already planned for this for next week.  Anywho, other than that all is well.  He said I was still his favorite triplet preggo thus far. WOO HOO, way to make a big preggo lady feel good.  Oh, and not to sound too happy, but since I do feel as big as a barn I really did com out of there smiling today.  Dr. M came up to Rusty as we were leaving and said, "Man she really looks great for having three in that little tummy.  Most people would never know there were three in their, because she looks like a singleton pregnancy." :)  Oh yeah, you got extra brownie points on that one for sure buddie.  ;-)

On another note of discussion on the triplets, I spoke with Beau's immunologist this week about his immune deficiency and the possibilities of the triplets having the same thing.  THI is the short term name for what Beau has.  One thing that is good is that children outgrow this deficiency, but that bad thing is early babies are the ones at highest risk of having this type. :/  But, going through it with Beau and establishing a good rapport with his immunologist I feel fully confident we will be able to handle it well if any of the triplets have this.  They do have a chance, but will not know until signs of it start showing in infancy.

As for how I feel...I just get really sleepy and tired, but this has faded some with bed rest this week.  I am not doing anything so that has helped.  Reflux and heartburn are controlled by tums still, but if I eat late I will wake up choking. :/  So as long as I don't want to take meds I better eat earlier in the evenings.  The only other thing that I can think of is I use A LOT of Shea Butter products.  I still use the Re9 body lotion and love it, but I also started using a couple of body washes.  Soft soap has a great Shea Butter wash, reasonable price and smells great.  The other body wash is by Oil of Olay Shea Butter wash, reasonable price and I love it too. :)

On the home front - we are enjoying our new bed, but look out cause I almost need help getting on and off of it. LOL.  Seriously, I had to get one of Beau's step stools to get into it, and I am not short by any means.  It is just this huge watermelon in front of me makes it a little difficult to maneuver.  Anywho, thought I would give ya'll a good laugh.  Rusty and Beau take great care of me.  Very thankful for them.  We are pretty well moved in, just not decorated yet.  That will all come with time.  The one thing that is calling my name is my green thumb. :(  But, once the babies are home I can start some of my ideas in the yard, hopefully. :)  For right now I love waking up and looking in our back yard.  The sunrise is always beautiful coming over the tree line.  Another thing Beau and I love to watch is all the birds in his woods.  We have persimmon trees back there so we have a variety of birds.  Red bellied Woodpecker, Cardinals, Blue Jays, and of course the geese from the pond.  Beau tries really hard to do a geese call and occasionally gets it mixed with a duck call.  LOL.  I think he thinks he is the animal whisperer sometimes, and well, he just might be with his love of animals.

This weekends fun for us is going to consist of packing my bag, Beau's bag, and finishing putting baby stuff together.  Aunt Jess & Uncle Justin we got the jumper put together last night :)  Thank you!  Thank you!

Stuff left to get rounded up for the babies is basically cloths (0-3 onesies & pjs, 3-6 mo onesies & pjs, and anything over that up to 12-18 months) , Dr. Browns bottles (4 oz & 8 oz), and diapers (which my two NICU nurse friends are going to be helping me out with along the way).  On the bottles I am trying to get enough rounded up for an entire day.  I have two really good coupons for Dr. Browns so this should help me complete the supply we need.  Although I will be breastfeeding them, I will be pumping a lot too, as I did with Beau, so bottles will be needed.  Dr. Brown's is (I believe), and was the best success with Beau.

-First pic is of all three heads.  Crazy, because it is very hard to capture all three in a pic.
-Second pic is of Baby A's face.  It is kind of squished, but he is snuggled up next to B's back. :)
-Third pic is of Baby C's face.  He is squished up against one of the membranes.
-Fourth pic is of my fave drink.  If you haven't ever bought these wonderful natural sodas you should hop in your ride and get on over to the store and grab some. YUMMMMMM!
-Five is of the storm updates I get on my phone.  Gotta love OKLAOMA.  We have Thunderstorms, Thundersnow, oh and Thundersleet. LOL.  I remember the first time I heard this from good ole Gary England I thought Gary, I just love your terminologies.

BLESSINGS to you all, and again thank you SO much for your continued prayers.  God is constantly blessing me, and always has even when I thought I couldn't be.  I am so so blessed beyond measure, and I am truly grateful.
