My knees. Hopefully, I haven't injured them in a way that is permanent. The knee doctor said all my ligaments are great, no broken bones, but what is probably causing my problem isthe cartilage behind the knee cap. It is either bruised really bad, which takes time to heal, or it is fractured. Unfortunately a fracture in that cartilage does not ever heal, but what they can do is go in and shave it down. Ooch!! Hopefully it's just bruised. So, I'm signed up to get an MRI on both knees since I landed on both. Just a reminder I fell when I was 29 weeks with the triplets. :/ I know, really not like me to be clumsy, and I really wasn't, but well long story. The MRI will show if its damaged, and I'm praying its not. I've been babying it since I realized something was wrong, and hopefully that has helped. Three exercises he said I can do right now are elliptical (check I have one :)), swimming (check Gram has pool:)), and bike (triple check I have a great road bike). So I'm covered on all this. Just need time to do it all. This brings me to next topic.
The new triplet stroller arrived today, and I can not even say how excited I was when I pulled in the drive way. I passed the UPS driver on our road, and was thinking he must have delivered the stroller. It's our new mobile command unit. We can go to the park, go for nice walks, maybe jog once I'm good, and go on outings hopefully. Becoming mobile has been such a big thing for me. Obviously triplet moms can not get out as much, but I want to be able to get out more and this stroller will make it happen. I did so much research on triplet strollers, and their is just not very many out there. Most have recalls, or the manufactures quit making them. I even called a few manufactures to see why I couldn't find any of their strollers online, and most said they quite producing them because of regulations and recalls. So a select few have the market right now. As for the jogging stroller that I bought. It's made by Safe Technologies, and has mostly good reviews. The other jogging stroller I was looking at was made by Bebelove, and they had so many bad reviews. This stroller is a side by side, which you can't fit through a single doorway, but folded down you can. This is more for outings, and outside activity. Me, Beau, and the babies took it for a spin tonight at sunset, and it was really nice. It's light weight, rolls smoothly, and turns great. Unlike all the others I've tried. The babies did great, and loved the walk as usual.
Finally, this evening crankiness that has crept back up here lately is either teething, or they need a dosage increase. I'm just not sure. They are doing everything that points to teething, but they are so young. I just wouldn't think a 4 month old would teeth. But, maybe they are. Or, what I think needs to be evaluated is their dosage on their acid reflux med. I think it needs increased.
So that's our day in a nutshell. Busy as all get out, but I'm glad I got my knee looked at, and didn't cancel appointment like I was going to. I feel most of the time that I just shouldn't worry about myself, and let it go for a while. But, then I realize, and say wait a minute Tiffany Ann, you have to be well and fit for your four little blessings. That is one thing I would say to any new triplet mom, is to try and take care of yourself too. This will only allow you to be your very best, and mostly not be wore out all the time. :)
Here are a few pics of the strollers I have.
This is the inline Peg Perego, and I like it for the storage, but its super heavy. You can either use it for carseats, or install the toddler seats.
This is the double Bob stroller, but as you can see this is a major workout. Just not practical. Nice stroller though.
This is the new triple, by Safe Technologies. Light weight, turns great, and I love it so far.
Oklahoma sunsets are the best :)
