The Triplets at Nine Months

It's a bittersweet day today.  Thirty years since my momma went to be with Jesus, and today the babies are nine months.  Man I wish she was here with me.  One day we will meet again though.  I have peace knowing she is with my savior.  She loved Jesus!  

It's hard to believe that nine months have already passed by with the triplets.  And yes, I still feel as if I'm in another world.  Lol.  Life of a multiples momma I think.  Lots to share about the babies.  They are busy busy busy figuring out everything.  

They love the new big boy seat I installed in their stroller.  No more car seats woo hoo!  Nine months today.  

Have to let Beau help me with the chalkboard.  :) 

Just a quick note to moms that wonder...how does she have time to write this....ummm I don't.  Lol.  I'm putting babies down for nap right now, and writing too.  :)  All about multitasking.  

For one, I feel as if they are not so much babies anymore.  Although they are babies, they are now big boy babies.  They eat baby food, use sippy cups, starting to walk along everything, investigate everything, take normal baths, and so much more.  Most of these things I actually was, and am, very glad they have came to.  Mainly because with three you just don't have enough time in the day for anything extra, and rarely enough time to spend quality time with your kids in general.  For right now that is, and I honestly have to remind myself of that daily.  I was so use to spending quality time, giving my undivided attention to Beau, that now it is so noticeable that I don't.  Not only did and does he need it, but I need it too.  I love our special times together, and eventually once the baby boys are a little bigger and playing we will have that time again, I hope.  

Okie dokie, let's get to the updates.  

The little charmer, aka Wyatt, is seriously a little Lightning McQueen.  Once he learns something boy he is on it as fast as a Nascar driver.  Lol.  He also, is a sweet little charmer.  He knows exactly how to win over the ladies already.  He gives kisses, and hugs, and man can he give a sweet tilted smile.  Beau did this too when he was a baby.  Wyatt also has four teeth.  Two on top, and two on bottom.  He is also a supported walker.  He walks around things, along the couch all the time, and now that they have push carts he pushes those as well.  That little turkey is always into something too.  I love his cute little self! 

Wyatt stands up all the time.  We need baby helmets.  

If only I could get them to hold their bottle every time.  (Wyatt) 

Christmas...playing with one of their new toys.  

Little Santa Baby, aka Brant, aka Houston McKenzie (my great grandfather).  He has these round round cheeks, and the jolliest smile ever.  Seriously just makes you want to smile.  My great grandpa McKenzie had the same face, and Brant looks a lot like him.  I always thought my great grandpa looked like Santa, that's why I call Brant Santa baby.  Brant is the sweetest boy, but can be ornery too.  He will sometimes initiate a wrestling match with Wyatt, and occasionally Luke.  But, Luke won't wrestle back like Wyatt so he tends to do this with my little rascal Wyatt more.  Lol.  Brant also has six teeth.  Four on bottom, and two on top, with two more starting to come in on top as well.  He is also a supported walker, almost a runner.  Lol.  He walks around things, and around his big toys, and the couches, and well anything really.  He really likes the new push carts too.  Love this sweet boy!  

Brant...stands up, and then falls down when he thinks he can let go.  Look mom no hands.  Helmets please! 

My little peace keeper, aka Luke.  He is pretty laid back.  UNLESS, you take his toys from him, and look out people you will hear about it with a, "no no no no no."  Lol.  I would have never thought he would be the calm one now, compared to how he was in the beginning, because his screams could bring a house down for sure, and start a battle of baby crying.  He still can be loud, but only when he gets a toy stolen by a brother.  Lol.  The past four months or so, he has shown a very calm, relaxed side.  He is usually always in chill mode.  He can sit and play with the same toy for a long time.  He crawls, sits up, and can sit on his knees.  Annnnnnnd finally on New Years Day he started pulling up in a standing position.  I guess he decide he wanted in on the fun the other two are having on their discoveries.  Another little note about this boy, is that he is really a sweet and cuddly little thing.  He loves to giggle, and play with you.  He also loves to cuddle.  Love this sweet boy too! 

Best toys for the boys...spoons or my kitchen stuff.  It entertains them while I cook or do dishes.  

Christmas Eve was a huge day for the babies.  Not only did they all get tubes put in their ears, but I transitioned them all to their cribs.  It honestly didn't take a long as I thought it would for them to get use to it.  They did well, and now sleep really good in them.  Since the tubes I think they have had some relief, which has helped them sleep better.  Plus I think they like the coziness of their beds too.  Hopefully, the tubes will help them in the future.  Praying they do.  

Christmas Day with my family.  

Yah for Bathtime...two of the three loving splashing in the bath.  I normally just do one at a time.  Easier that way.  

As for food, they have done well with green beans, and squash.  They love squash.  They get so excited around lunch time...it's pretty cute.  Their GI specialist has a list of low carb foods they are wanting me to do with them, and each food introduction in two week increments.  So far, so good doing it this way.  Plus they are all sitting completely up all the time, so this eliminates more chances of reflux.  Next foods to try are peas, carrots, and then sweet potatoes.  Then on to fruits.  I'm glad they have finally made it to foods, and are doing pretty good with them.  This reflux business can be tricky, but thankfully research, experience with my first kiddo, and good doctors can help parents with that.  Let google, and blogs be your friends if you think your baby has reflux.  I'm hoping to start weening them off their daily reflux med at one, or at least not have to do a dosage increase. 

They love lunch time.  

Beau - just a cute little note on my big boy.  Earlier this evening he was craving some undivided attention, so I dropped everything I was going to catch up on..laundry, mop, etc., and put the babies in their walkers and we all went to the playroom.  Beau and I built what he called, a suspension bridge, and he put on a monster truck show for us with a news flash every time a truck fell off the bridge into the river.  Good times with my four boys.  Love them so much.  A plus...this entertained the babies too.  Big thumbs up to that.  

My little helper on New Year's Day.   While the babies napped, Beau and I cleaned up more limbs from the ice storm.  Glad he doesn't mind doing this kind of thing.  He loves it like his momma.  :)

As of this coming Monday, I will be cooperative teaching Monday through Friday until May.  All day long, basically like a full time teacher.  Praying that everything with the kiddos, and me basically working, goes smoothly.  Working all the details out has been tricky, but thankfully it is working out.  I know it will be emotionally tough in two ways.  Me being away from the babies everyday, but also it will be good for me too, to be doing one of the big things I love to do...be a teacher.  "I can do all this through him who gives me strength." (Philippians 4:13 NIV) 

Finally, I just want to share a verse that I love.  I was reminded of it in a devotional this last week.  "So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ" (Ephesians 3:17-18 NIV 1984). I love this verse, and it truly speaks to me, as I'm sure it speaks to all that read it.  Faith is what drives me in many things in this crazy life, and knowing and understanding God's love for me, even with all my flaws, is what drives my faith.  How beautiful is that?!  I know I only know a minut portion of my spiritual journey here on earth, and have so much more to learn biblically, but I am so thankful for what I know at this moment.  

(First time at Whattaburger, and I noticed this.  Looks like they have great leadership behind the company.  I love seeing this at national companies.)



Ok, gotta get to watching Star Wars III with my big boy.  Friday late night, movie night.  :) I started this post a few days ago, and added to it here and there.  Now finishing up almost 10 pm central time, and bam got all the babies to bed before 9.
