Out in the sticks

Well I'm gonna keep savin my pennies, and one day I am movin to the sticks.  That is where I'll be.  One day.  Anywho, here's a quick pic post for y'all to take a gander at. :)

To get to the title of my blog post today...while walking around my grams property, the land I grew up on playing until dark, I was reminded how much I love it.  I miss it.  Living in the sticks.  Although, it's not quite the sticks anymore.  People are building up all around out there.  I so love the country and everything about it.  So I'm savin my pennies, and one day will live in the sticks.  ;)

Oh, and here is some weather craziness for ya.  Who has hail, sunny clear skies, super crazy wind, and severe storms all in one day?  Okies do.  That's just the spring weather too.  Winter is just about as crazy.

Beau has a nature project at school this coming week, so we had to fill a bag of stuff from nature this weekend.  What we found...a turkey feather, broken deer antler, piece of a native cactus, old turtle shell, a cattail, and a mushroom that grew out of a tree or it could be a fungus.  Beau had so much fun searching for all of it that's for sure.  :)

Love all the redbuds blooming.

And we need some rain.  What's a dried up pond good for to country folk, umm, muddin and making tracks for all their trucks.  Lol.

An awesome treasure my gram found for me at junk sale :)

You can't even notice that about 1.476899999 seconds ago it was hailing.    And thx Ree Drummond, I kinda copied your to the second idea.  Lol :)

Beau actually ran out in it to grab some hail.   Just nickle size today.

Road TEN miles last night, and loved every minute of it.  Woo hoo to ten miles!

On the other hand boo to Oklahoma wind tonight.  I barely made five.  It was brutal on me.

Blessings from this Okie chic!  Buyin myself a professional grade camera soon, and can't wait.  Look out when that happens.  Lol.
