As I was sitting here in bed writing out thank you, and a couple of bills, Beau came in and asked what I was doing. I told him writing thank you cards. Then he jumped up and said, "I need to do mine for my birthday." Now, I will admit he doesn't always want to sit down and do all his thank you's when it is that time. But, he knows it is what has to be done when we need to show our grateful and thankfulness for anything. I grew up and learned to write (hand write) thank you's as a young child. I am very thankful that this small thing in life was instilled in me at such a young age. Now I am trying to instill it in my own child, and later all of my children and students. I rarely see this anymore, but even though I do not, I plan on doing it the rest of my life as well as teaching my children. Sadly this world is a very ungrateful and too many people do not make time for the small things, like writing thank you cards. Hopefully, my parenting on etiquette will stay with my children the rest of their life.
Here is Beau writing his thank you's, well his name for now :)
