Thankful for the small things (Thanksgiving 2013)

Today ended up being completely different than what I expected it would be a few days ago.  For that, I am thankful.

This past week has been a little rough to say the least, and I knew it would be.  Having surgery, have 7 (almost 8) month old triplets, and a four year old can be a lot for one to handle.  The past few days I had some set backs, but after a lot of rest yesterday, thanks to my Grandma, and a lot of prayer last night...I woke today feeling renewed.

My knee is still in need of elevation, and ice.  I wasn't quite as rigorous with that the first week, as I am now.  After my checkup with Dr. H on Tuesday, and realizing I might have to get my knee drained, I just prayed I could take care of it, and the kids too.  I thankfully have been able to try, and recover a little.

Sooooo, with the much needed rest yesterday, me and the boys were able to enjoy thanksgiving with my family today.  It really made my day, even if it was only for a few hours.  It was nice, and good, to see some of my family.  The babies loved the extra cuddle time with them too.  :)  A bonus, it was beautiful in Oklahoma today.  Perfect weather.

This brings me to the small things.  I am so very thankful for the small things.  Small things like watching my big boy playing with his cousins, and laughing about the smallest of things.  Thankful that I was actually able to manage getting out to my Gram's for thanksgiving today. Only ten minutes from my house, but with the knee situation, and loading up three babies, and a four year old that can be tricky.  Thankful for my savior listening, and always reminding me to focus on HIM first.  Prayers are priceless my friends.  Yesterday I was so bummed, about many things.  But, with prayer I woke up reminded of HIS promises, and renewed with a new day.  Every day is a new day, every day God is with us, every day I am reminded to praise HIM in good times, and through the hard times.  Finally, I am thankful for the fifteen minute drive home, and back home.  I love driving through my hometown. :)

The babies having fun with Aunt Candice, and Ashley.

My beautiful cousin Ashley, and Luke.

Cause it's the biggest turkey day ever.  :)

Beau, enjoying the nice weather with his cousins, but didn't want to stop so momma could snap a pic.

And now, at home watching these mini wrastlers, and watching Grown Ups 2.  Good laughs.
