Snowman Playdoh (Simple Salt Play-dough recipe)

It is only 10:30, and with it being another snow day for school I had to think of some things to keep my big boy busy.  So we made some snowman playdoh.  Basically my Gram's simple salt playdoh recipe.  All you do is make the play dough, and when you put it in bag you can either add food coloring or glitter.  I used a fine white glitter for snowman playdo.

Salt Play-Dough

2 cups flour
2 Tablespoons oil
1-1/2 cups salt
2 Tablespoons cream of tarter
2 cups water

Get your sifter, and sift all the dry ingredients in your pan.  Then add your oil and water, and stir over low heat.  Get your muscles ready cause you need to stir it until it pulls away from the sides of the pan.  Then just put it in a ziplock bag to mix it with whatever you wish.  You can use food coloring, coolaid mix, or glitter.  Have fun! ;)

Also, since it's Christmas time another little fun thing you can do with this is make ornaments.  You can bake them, or let them dry out for a few days.  If you bake them, bake for about an hour and thirty minutes.  ;)

  1. Someone asked me about the koolaid mix...it makes a scented and dyed play dough. :)
