One year ago I was getting prepped for a c-section, and full of anticipation of what life would be like with three babies. What a fast year since April 4, 2013! Happy Happy Happy Birthday Wyatt, Brant, and Luke!
The triplets are officially one year olds today. I look back, and everything is such a whirlwind of a roller coaster. I mean a real roller coaster. Lol. We made it through multiplehood, and that in itself is huge. When I sit here and reflect on everything I went through with the babies, and my five year old, it really does get to me. I honestly at times didn't know how life would be as time passed with having four kids under age five, but each day life seems to get a little bit more like it was when I just had one. Thank The Lord, but I will say it is still tough at times.
Just to give y'all an idea on things, here are some approximations for one year with triplets :).
-13,140 diapers give or take :)
-39,420 wipes give or takes :)
-thousands in prescription based formula...I don't even want to say, but thankfully we were able to buy this for them.
-about 1,000 loads of laundry give or take :)
-dishes I do twice a day, because of bottles, so as you can imagine...a lot of dishwasher action too.
The first year is probably the hardest with triplets, or it has been for me, and I have heard this from many other triplet moms too. I just always thought things would always be tough, a little stressing, and busy. But, life will get somewhat simpler as they grow, and become more independent. Life is crazy though, let me tell ya that is for sure.
As for our house, it's always a party everyday with these four little boys. When Beau is around they love to chase him, and him chase them. Wrestling, well it's non stop with all four. The babies wrestle each other, and they wrestle with Beau. Laughter is always happening when they are playing together. AND as for the three factor, well if they don't have three of the same thing or three similar things they are interested in...you better look out. They will fight over it. Lol. All in all they play good together. It really is amazing watching them follow each other, play, laugh together, chase each other, and just communicate with one another. The twin factor is very cool, but triplets, well it's definitely amusing. Lol.
Wyatt, gosh I love this boy. He is a LOVER for sure. He can also be ornery, and sneakily get into things. When he does get into something that he shouldn't, he just looks at you, and smiles the sweetest smile like, you love me and I'm cute so I can get away with it. Lol.
Some of the sweet things Wyatt does still melts my heart. He loves to run his hands through my hair. I mean, all the way through it. He puts himself to sleep this way too. :) He randomly will give me a kiss, and it's the best baby kisses ever. He also is starting to say words, and repeat words when I ask him to. He can say uh oh, shake his head no, wow, and Luv u. He also says our names, but has done that for a while. He also likes to point at things, which is so darn cute. He can do the downward dog position like it is the easiest thing ever. Lol. Oh, and he definitely will be a pitcher or quarterback one day. He can through balls so far for a baby, and started doing it on his own. It's pretty dang cute.
Brant, man I love this boy to pieces. His smile is such a sweet smile it melts my heart every time. I love it. He is such a sweet heart, and me and him have our lovie moments. He will start talkin his talk, put his head against my forehead, touch noses, and then just ewwww, giggle, and give the biggest smile ever. We do this everyday, several times a day. His moments with his momma. :)
As for this little guy, he may be the smallest in weight, but let me tell ya he is the strongest. He loves to moves chairs, the bench, pick up anything bigger than himself, and try to throw it. Lol. He is strong. He pretty much follows in Wyatt's footsteps in talking. I can tell he is in the verge of blurting out some words. :) He also doesn't like to share momma. :/ If Beau gives me hugs he gets ticked and comes a runnin to me. Lol. He is definitely a momma's boy. :) He also loves jibber jabberin in the mornings, and giggles a lot too.
Luke, I love my biggest baby too so much. He doesn't skip a meal, and leaves no crumbs. Lol. He loves to eat, and will eat whatever you put in front of him. As for lovin, he will just love to be held at any time. He is a cuddler for sure. He also is my only biter right now, and if one of his brothers steels something they better look out cause teeth are a coming. I try and catch him most of the time, but when I'm busy that's when the teeth come out. So the babies have bite marks are the arms a lot. :/ He will listen when I get on to him, and say no. I don't think any other way would be better to combat it. The NO does work.
As for what he's interested in...well he is a deep thinker. Lol. He will sit and consent rate on whatever he is doing for a long time. Or, he will watch someone do something he thinks is cool for a long time.
All three are continuously trying new foods. What I'm finding is that they have a milk protein intolerance. So I try and stick to proteins, fruits, and veggies. I stay away from too much sugars as well cause that seems to bother them at times. They are still on the prescription based formula, but once I get them fully drinking out of the sippy cup I will switch to a next step formula. Praying that works. It would save us a lot of money. Almost like another income if this happens. Lol. They are all in 18 months cloths, and size 4 diapers. They all of course walk, and run at times. They don't like using the walkers anymore or the push carts. Those went out fast. Lol. So things are piling up around here to say the least. They love riding their little riding things. They have a semi truck, a dog, and a spider man car for inside, and momma has an outside surprise for them for their birthday. ;)
Their is so much more I could share, but it's their birthday and I need to get busy cleaning the house in prep for their big party tomorrow. Can't wait to share it all with you. I will post possible two more blogs later this evening. A momma blog, and a birthday recap blog. :) I hope.
What they are up to right now. Getting them to pose is practically impossible.
And they wanted the chalkboard.
Nope we won't sit still.
Oh, my goodness, Tiffany! You exhaust me just telling about all the diapers, bottles, wipes, laundry goes on with triplets! And you had knee surgery and put your best forward to try to finish your student teaching!!!! Wow! Be sure and take a minute for yourself somehow!.
ReplyDeleteLol. You totally get it Janet. :) And I do get a little break today. I have a sitter so I can get some things done. :)
