The theme I created was with Mason Jars and chalkboards :) two of my favorite things. ;) Then the colors I decided on were red, white, and blue. It all turned out pretty good, but I didn't get to finished the table runner I was making and it was so super cute. I also didn't have time to make all the delicious snacks I wanted to make. :( Oh well, it turned out just fine anyway.
The cakes turned out so good for what I was wanting. Not many cake decorators can do chalk candy chalkboards, and make it look like actual chalk. But, the lady that I used, whom I heard of from a friend, did an excellent job. It tasted awesome too. The babies smash cakes were shaped like Mason Jars.
Then the cookies that I had made were little mason jars that said - having a BALL since 2013. They turned out so adorable, and were delicious too. I used a cookie shop in the city called, 1 Smart Cookie. I have used them several times, and they never dissapoint. I would've made them myself, but I just don't have the time to do that stuff anymore. :( Maybe in the future I can make my sugar cookies again, cause I do make some good ones.
Their party invitations I had made by a local card designer, and they turned out awesome as well. I normally make those too, but since I had the babies I just don't have time to do that. I hope next year I can.
The guest that I invited were just family, and close friends. I didn't want a huge amount, cause one my house is not huge, and two I didn't know how the babies would handle it. It was the perfect amount of people.
Here are some pics from the party. I will have more soon. My amazingly talented friend, and owner of Tomorrow's Memories Photography, photographed the party for me. I have had her photograph my kids parties since Beau was three. Moms/ host just don't have time to try and catch little moments of the special times while trying to maintain the party. It is thing that is so worth it to me.
Uh oh, what is fixing to happen? Lol, look at Brants face? That's priceless.
They loved it :)
The babies got their one year pics too. Their little boots kept escaping their feet.

As for this momma I will admit I've been a little tired lately. Not at all on my A game. I realized I won't be doing as much in the future for their birthdays lol. But, it was their first so I had to do some special things :)
You are blessed beyond measure, incredibly creative & amazingly gifted at being these boys momma! It is an honor to call you friend & a blessing to get to be your photographer. Love you girl! Great job making it thru the first year!
